How It Works

System 3 employs two types of robotic technologies to achieve ultra-dense storage while enabling quick access to priority orders and SKUs. Autonomous Case-handling Mobile Robots (ACRs) strategically navigate confined storage zones, reaching up to 12 meters (39+ feet) high and 3 totes deep to transport inbound and outbound goods for storage and fulfillment.

 

At the same time, Fast-Transit Companion AMRs retrieve totes from a specialized bottom shelf of the racks and deliver them to workstations at an extreme speed of 4 meters per second for swift order processing.

The Robots

Two core robotic technologies drive HaiPick System 3: Our Autonomous Case-handling Mobile Robots (ACRs) are designed to operate seamlessly with nearly any industry-standard racking and a selection of tote sizes — enabling versatile and cost-effective goods-to-person operations. Meanwhile, Fast-Transit Companion AMRs retrieve totes from a specialized bottom shelf applied to the racks and deliver them to workstations at an extreme speed of 4 meters per second for fast order responsiveness.

 

Each robot is equipped with features tailored to the specific inventory it handles.

The Workstations

HaiPick Systems are accessed via workstations where inbound and outbound inventory is picked up and delivered by HaiPick Robots. Ergonomically designed, all workstations deliver a 99.9%+ order pick accuracy rate and can be tailored to maximize workflow efficiency and throughput, or facilitate seamless handoff to other technologies and operations.

 

Eliminate Human Travel for Order Picking

HaiPick Systems bring containers directly to operators, cutting out travel time for order picking and speeding up fulfillment.

 

Variable Workstations

Each HaiPick System can connect to different types of workstations operating simultaneously, supporting various workflows within a single system. System 3's Desktop HaiStations enable ultra-fast picking from totes delivered by Companion Bots.

 

Lineside Delivery

HaiPick Systems deliver containers for manufacturing, kitting, and other processes through lineside delivery, conveyor systems, or other technology handoff points.

HaiPick Systems can integrate seamlessly with almost any existing Warehouse Management System (WMS) or Warehouse Execution System (WES). HaiPick System 3 can be configured with racking up to 3 totes deep, positioned back-to-back (6 totes deep) to minimize aisle space and maximize storage density. The design enables high-speed Companion Bots to lift and pick totes from the bottom level for immediate fulfillment, making it ideal for storing fast-moving SKUs for quick access.

 

Ultra-Dense Storage

Chain-linked totes eliminate wasted space on shelves. HaiPick ACRs pull or push the tote chain for efficient retrieval or replenishment.

 

Efficient Tote Retrieval

When an order requires a tote from the middle or back of a tote chain, the ACR first removes the front totes and stores them on its “backpack” before accessing the desired tote. The ACR can then pass the tote to a Companion Bot for order fulfillment before replacing the unneeded totes.
