NEPA
Logistics Center
Hai Robotics, in partnership with Boowoo System, has revolutionized NEPA's logistics by implementing the HaiPick System 3 at their new logistics center in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. The facility upgrade has greatly enhanced storage density, increased throughput efficiency, and significantly cut labor and warehouse rental costs, aligning perfectly with NEPA's business growth and peak season needs.
The solution employs 46 Autonomous Case-handling Mobile Robots (ACRs) and 108 Fast-Transit Companion AMRs, which adeptly manage both full-case and piece-picking orders, ensuring quick fulfillment across all channels.
HaiPick System 3 has optimized NEPA’s warehouse management within a 9,300-square-meter area, enabling 130,000 storage locations with 8.7 meters-high racking that can hold 2.9 million items. This achievement was key to streamlining operations, allowing NEPA to consolidate two warehouses into one advanced logistics center, reducing rental expenses. As a fast-fashion leader with rapid product cycles and a broad SKU range, having sufficient storage for peak season demands is transformative for NEPA.
The system incorporates 13 picking stations, where Fast-Transit Companion AMRs directly present totes for order picking. Order pickers can operate from these ergonomic stations, eliminating the need for lengthy walks each day. This simplifies the picking process, making work easier for employees while ensuring they can efficiently handle elevated demand during peak seasons.
- With B2B dispatching reaching 60,000 items per day and B2C dispatching at 6,000 items per day, even peak seasons are managed smoothly. This efficiency not only accelerates order fulfillment but also boosts customer satisfaction, strengthening NEPA's competitive position in South Korea's fashion logistics sector.
- The original warehouses required physically demanding picking tasks, causing recruitment challenges during peak seasons. HaiPick System 3 automates complex picking tasks, reducing required operators by half, thus saving 50% on labor costs.
- With improved workflows, operators can manage peak season demands with ease, thanks to effective teamwork between human and robotic systems.
- Previously, managing two separate warehouses complicated inventory management and quick market adaptation for NEPA. The HaiQ smart warehouse platform organizes warehouse information, enabling zoned storage based on product popularity, timely replenishment during off-peak hours, and pre-sorting items closer to workstations for faster dispatch. This flexible strategy simplifies peak season operations, allowing NEPA to fulfill orders swiftly and satisfy customers' needs.
