After navigating 7 warehouse moves in just 6 years, Avenue Shops, the Lindon, Utah-based apparel drop shipper, believed they had found their long-term home in a spacious 30,000-square-foot warehouse. But, as demand for the company’s “boutique-as-a-service” model showed remarkable growth, an expansion began to look imminent.

Faced with the stress of yet another relocation, co-founders Glen and Adam Womble decided to take a different approach — growing up instead of out. After evaluating several solutions, they chose Hai Robotics’ Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), driven by Autonomous Case-handling mobile Robots (ACRs), to maximize vertical space utilization and streamline fulfillment operations in a flexible and cost-effective manner.

Our Solution

--The results were transformative. The HaiPick System drastically reduced Ave’s storage footprint by 60% — compressing it from 15,000 to 6,000 square feet — while simultaneously increasing storage capacity by 2.5 times. The introduction of 28-foot shelving facilitated a 4x increase in storage height, allowing Ave to accommodate over 12,000 SKUs within the smaller footprint.

--The impact on order fulfillment was equally impressive, with a 65% jump in orders shipped per day.

--Manual labor requirements also saw a significant reduction, with the number of employees picking orders per shift decreasing from 5-10 to just 1-2. This has helped mitigate staffing shortages, boost workflow efficiencies, and improve employee well-being and job satisfaction.

Chicheng Group has successively established two chain convenience store brands, “Neighborhood” and “Life Post”, covering 61 counties, cities, and districts in China. With more than4000 chain stores Chicheng is a key supermarket enterprise in East China.

The primary focus of the warehouse is on storing and managing food, beverages, cleaning products, and other commodities. Hai Robotics introduced Goods-to-Person Automation to improve the efficiency of their B2B business. Our system maximized warehouse space utilization, improved storage capacity, and helped Chicheng reduce costs and increase workflow efficiency.

--The pick efficiency of our staff now reaches 200 lines per person per hour, manifesting an efficiency hike of 50%.

--The mixed layout of A42 and A42T ensures the efficiency of the robot's box-moving while, at the same time, increasing the total number of storage spaces.

--The dual U conveyor line design guarantees that each workstation is provided with 200 or more boxes per hour.

Their warehouse in Sydney serves as a comprehensive logistics distribution center. It manages the production, processing, and distribution of various types of goods, including dry goods such as snacks and seasonings, fresh produce like fruits and vegetables, as well as frozen items including meat.

Hai Robotics plays a significant role in operation of the production, processing, and distribution of dry goods. Our solution provides a seamless storage and picking processes within the designated area, ensuring smooth connectivity to the subsequent stages of the distribution chain.
